Reveal homes coming on the market soon in Nashville, TN
Since obtaining his real estate license in March 2001, Gary Ashton has impressively risen through the ranks, now holding the title of the top realtor for RE/MAX. He's among the elite 1% of realtors in Nashville, Tennessee, and has the distinction of leading the #1 team at RE/MAX Advantage in Tennessee, the USA, and the globe.
Gary is also known as the chosen real estate agent for the Nashville Predators. His team has also been spotlighted as RE/MAX's premier global real estate team.
From England's Music Scene to the US
Originally from England, Gary's earlier years were immersed in music. He showcased his drumming talent with the Leeds Middle Schools Orchestra and later, the Yeadon Town brass band. Gary then shifted to rock and pop music, performing with a Leeds-based band named Officer Dibble.
Parallelly, Gary's career at an advertising firm involved working with clients in the automobile and real estate sectors – an experience that would later prove invaluable. As Officer Dibble gained traction, they found themselves collaborating with icons like Joe Cocker, Chris De Burgh, and Tears for Fears.
Outside his musical endeavors, Gary supported his family's twin bed-and-breakfast hotels. The family eventually migrated to Clearwater Beach, Florida, managing a motel for a decade.
Gary's first taste of real estate came when he negotiated with developers on behalf of local hoteliers. Though the deal didn't materialize, it set Gary on a path toward Nashville in 2000, seeking musical opportunities once more.
Florida Dreams to Tennessee Triumphs
In 2001, Gary's dual roles in music and real estate began with a position at Crye-Leike in Hendersonville. But he soon realized that his true calling was in real estate.
Transitioning from part-time to full-time, Gary allied with Steve Shrum, a top-tier agent at Crye-Leike. Harnessing his advertising background, Gary began driving leads through Steve's website.
Evolving in the Industry
By 2004, Gary had transitioned to Bob Parks, a regional real estate firm. His stint was short-lived as an opportunity with Nashville.com beckoned, prompting a shift to RE/MAX Elite for better brand visibility.
Gary focused on refining his online presence over the next years, forming a team of realtors eager to harness the power of online leads.
In 2007, he was acknowledged as one of RE/MAX Elite's "Top 3" Realtors and clinched the top position for the Nashville Real Estate Team. This milestone year also saw him joining RE/MAX's "Chairmans Club".
Despite a challenging real estate climate in 2008 and 2009, Gary's team maintained its top-tier status. Gary capitalized on the downturn, overhauling his website with Real Estate Webmasters.
By 2010, the revamped website garnered unprecedented user registrations, setting up a monumental year for Gary and TAREG.
Years of Recognition
From 2011 to 2015, Gary's accolades continued. His team became the official real estate team for the Tennessee Titans from 2012 to 2021.
2013 saw the team's sales soar to $147M, earning them top rankings both regionally and globally. By 2014, they upped their game to a staggering $183M in sales.
Gary's continual success caught the attention of RE/MAX LLC, leading to an offer in 2015 to establish his brokerage – a testament to his innovative approach.
Today, Gary is recognized not just as a leading realtor but also as the official realtor for the Nashville Predators NHL team.
